300 BJJ gis, rashguards, spats, and shorts

300 was released in 2006 and revolutionized the way that comic books would be adapted to the big screen. It was based on the awesome 1998 comic book by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley. It was filmed using the super-imposition chroma key technique which made the pictures from the comic really come alive. The story retells the Battle of Thermopylae between Persia and Greece during the Persian Wars, and was directed by Zack Snyder. King Leonidas leads 300 Spartan beefcakes against the invading army of god-king Xerxes and his 300,000 strong army. Of course we all know who won that battle.

The film ended up achieving massive success, grossing over $450 million at the box office. It's sequel, 300: Rise of An Empire, was based on Frank Miller's unpublished graphic novel Xerxes, and was released on March 7, 2014.
